AI & Advanced Analytics for Renewable Portfolios: Instant Answers, Early Warnings, Better ROI in ACTIS ERP

Coming Soon: AI & Advanced Analytics in ACTIS ERP

In renewables, data volume isn’t as much of a problem as time. Most teams already collect millions of points from inverters, meteorological stations, and market feeds. The challenge is turning all that information into decisions quickly enough to protect revenue. ACTIS ERP already centralizes monitoring, collaboration, and security. The next step is AI & advanced analytics, which is now a pilot feature and will be rolling out shortly, designed specifically for asset managers.

Note: Screens and capabilities described here reflect a preview and may evolve at launch. If you’d like early access, see the CTA at the end

From dashboards to direct answers

One of the core capabilities of implementing AI into ACTIS is being able to communicate with your ERP in plain English and receive responses in a timely manner. Imagine typing: “Which sites showed the most frequent inverter faults this quarter?” or “Where are we underperforming vs P50 and why?” The Copilot experience returns the answer with drill-downs you can share instantly with O&M or finance with a minimum amount of navigation in the platform.

See issues before alarms escalate

Unplanned downtime rarely starts with a single dramatic event. Slight temperature drifts, a run of nuisance trips, a string that keeps falling just short of peers, all of these show traces of a pattern. The new proactive failure detection models learn those patterns from telemetry and weather history and pinpoint components that are trending in the wrong direction. Maintenance teams can plan work during low-impact windows, reducing truck rolls and preventing repeat callouts that eat into availability.

Model investments with confidence

Every portfolio faces about the same questions: “Should we repower or wait ?” “Clean more often or trust the rain?” “Add storage now or next year?” Investment ROI forecasting in ACTIS simulates these decisions before you commit capital. You can compare payback and IRR across scenarios including baseline, repowering, augmented cleaning and storage add-on based on your own production history and price curves. Instead of arguing over assumptions, teams align around the model that best protects cash flow.

From “what” to “why”

Alerts tell you what changed. AI should tell you why. With anomaly detection paired to explainable visuals (such as Decomposition Trees and Key Influencers), ACTIS breaks down drivers behind KPI shifts like irradiance variance, component aging, recurring alarms, soiling, curtailment. This makes the root cause is visible, no need for guesses. That context shortens the path from symptom to fix and keeps month-end surprises out of investor packs.

Built on your governance, not outside it

These AI capabilities sit on top of your certified datasets and portfolio hierarchy. They inherit role-based access control (RBAC) and row-level security (RLS). Asset managers, O&M contractors, traders, and lenders see only the data they are authorized to view. By doing this, we provide faster insight without compromising confidentiality.

Rollout and licensing

We’re introducing AI & advanced analytics through a controlled pilot and expanding availability soon. Access will be staged; final feature set and prerequisites will be confirmed during onboarding.
Licensing: The AI module is a separate paid add-on to ACTIS. It requires applicable Microsoft licensing (e.g., Power BI/Copilot) and is priced above a standard Power BI license.
